SRINAGAR
Situated along the banks of Jhelum River, Srinagar is the capital city of Jammu and Kashmir. Most probably know as ‘Heaven on Earth’ this place proves it right. GULMARG
Situated 2730 meter above the sea level, this place is known as the ‘Meadow of Flowers’. You can trek to mountains or take ponies which retails to INR 300. The easiest way is to ride the Gondola, which gives a mesmerizing view on clear days. You can book this ride online which can save you from standing in a long queue during the peak season i.e., May and June. During the summer season the valley is filled with colorful flowers everywhere.
SONMARG
Situated along the banks of Gushing Sindh River at an altitude of 9000kms above the sea level, this place is also known as the ‘Meadow of Gold’. It is 70km away from Srinagar International Airport. Sonmarg serves as a base camp for the trekkers of Ladakh One can have a view of sun kissed mountain peaks, breath taking glaciers and giant mountains. Tourist can explore places like Nilagrad, Kheer Bhawani Temple, Zoji-La Pass and many more from Sonmarg. If you are fond of snow activities like ice skating, and sledding on frozen glacier, you must visit here during December and January.
